Travelling Expenses

When members attend a working party session, they can claim travelling expenses for the journey to and from Quainton at a rate of up to 40p per mile. If they donate these expenses to the Trust, as a charity we can claim a further 28% on this amount from the government (assuming the member pays income text).

Claim forms can be obtained from, and returned to, John Porter as Working Party leader. The treasurer can then put in a return every six months to HM Revenue & Customs to reclaim the money.

Claiming travelling expenses in this manner could accumulate in the region of £1,000 per annum for the Trust, so please make the effort to complete and return the forms.
